ABOUT JOLI BOUDOIR
Behind the camera
I’m Marsha Combs and I’m a photographer in a small Indiana town. I own 2 photography businesses: Marsha Combs Photography and Joli Boudoir Photography. I’m a creator, a mom, and I’m wildly passionate about women’s empowerment. I love coffee and seek out local coffee shops when we travel. I’m naturally introverted, but photography really brings me out of my shell. Being behind the camera is my happy place.
I did my first boudoir session in 2012 for a friend. I didn't really know what to expect, but I thought it would be good to add it to my portfolio, but I ended up falling in love with it. You see, boudoir photography is, in a way, therapeutic for me. Like most women, I have struggled with self-confidence for as long as I can remember. Most of my client's come in feeling insecure, which is completely natural. But I get a chance to see them transform throughout their session, slowly becoming more confident. In the end, when I see how much they love the photos and "can't believe" how great they look, it's such a great experience.
Boudoir isn't all about capturing provocative images, it's also about helping women see their beauty. To me, contributing to that is such a special thing.
